Introduction

 

The plant in question is realized for an Italian company specialized in the precious metals recovery. The function of the plant is the flue gas treatment for smelting furnaces.

 

Problem

 

The precious metal recovery industry requires extremely efficient dedusting to ensure maximum dust capture and to avoid its dispersion into the environment.

 

Solution

 

In order to ensure the pollutants purification and precious metal dust collection, TVT has realized a series of two gas treatment systems, both of which essentially consist of the following components:

1st stage consists of dry filtration by means of a bag filter, an automatic reagents storage and dosing system (activated carbon and lime) and a reactor to ensure intimate mixing of gas and reagents,

2nd filtration stage, the purpose of which is the recovery of powder reagents, followed by two washing towers in series.
